DARTER

The Darter Drone 40 is an autonomous, loitering grenade deployed from either a 40mm grenade launcher or hand launch.
The Drone 40 give a single troop Multiple Round Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) capabilities. Utilizing a standard 40mm grenade launcher , multiple munitions can be launched with each munition acting as a force multiplier. It features a GPS based autopilot system with a portable ground control station communicating over an encrypted radio data-link. It leverages commercially available drone components combined with mass manufacturing techniques from the printed circuit board industry to produce a highly capable unmanned aerial system.
The Darter Drone 40 is equipped with a modular payload bay allowing for quick in field changes ranging from full motion video streaming ISR to kinetic effects. When used in non-kinetic scenarios, the Drone 40 is recoverable and reusable.
Targeting and control of the drones is achieved through integration with existing deployed smart devices using readily available communications technology.
The Operations Kit includes 100 D40 Drones and 100 fragmentation payloads, 1 End User Device, One Ground Control Station, and one each ISR for Daylight and Thermal.
