PATRIOT II

The Patriot 4×4 Tactical APC is a modular vehicle of robust construction. Patriot II uses Tatra chassis with a central backbone tube, swing axle, and four-wheel drive. The extraordinary performance of the chassis from Tatra is highlighted by the vehicle ́s ability to get over vertical barriers up to a height of 0,5m, trenches up to a width of 0,9m, and a rate of climb of 45 degrees. The instant fording depth is 1,2m. The maximum combat weight increased to 17,5t. The length is 6250 mm, the wheelbase 3650mm, the car width 2550mm and the height is 2800mm. Such parameters make Patriot II easily transported via aircraft carriers and landing ships. The mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP)-class vehicle offers up to STANAG level 4 ballistic protection and level 3 mine protection. Its anti-explosion seats and the bottom of the hull are designed to reduce the potential impact of an explosion under the floor. The cabin and engine compartment are also fitted with automatic fire extinguishing systems. The vehicle’s nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) filtration system further offers protection against weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
